Tips for sublimation
There are some points to consider when sublimating granite stones:
-
Granite stones need to be coated because they are difficult to sublimate. Fold the sublimation paper around the stone and attach all 4 sides to the back.
-
The pressure should be light to avoid a dull appearance of the printed stone.
-
Heat the stone at 180 degrees for about 7 minutes.
-
Let the stone with the sublimation paper cool down.
Applying too much pressure when sublimating granite stones can cause the stone to break or crack. It is therefore important to set the pressure low and keep an eye on the duration of sublimation.
